Project Overview

We first started working with Fiona back in 2014. Initially she came to us with a large problem. She faced serious competition within her industry, going up against another 10,045 registered Marriage Celebrants across New South Wales.

She wanted to stand out from the crowd and let the quality of her services speak for themselves. So we planned to optimise a Google My Business Listing with unmissable on-page ranking signals by building citations, a comprehensive keyword strategy and an avalanche of reviews.

Once she saw the value of appearing online, we showed her the value of SEO and how a comprehensive optimisation strategy would allow her to show off her excellent reputation to help attract new customers by appearing at the top of Google searches. We started by chatting to Fiona about her goals to make sure she knew we had her best interests at heart. She told us she wanted to appear organically when people search for a ‘Marriage Celebrant in Sydney’ so we built an irresistible GMB Listing packed full of local search ranking signals.

By optimising her business info, services and content to reflect her location we cracked the competitive Sydney market and sent her straight to the number one spot on Google. We solidified this position with a tidal wave of customers singing her praises, with 39 perfect 5-star reviews the cherry on top of her GMB.

We then went to work on her website to implement a detailed optimisation strategy. This meant adding 17 pages full of copy meticulously designed to attract customers. Google loves content so this had the effect of climbing to the #1 ranking for even more keywords. Through a personalised content strategy of regular blogging and a targeted keyword approach we built a website that was engaging and highly intuitive.

This lowered her bounce rate, with the raw data showing people were staying longer on the website. After creating 595 relevant and reputable backlinks across the internet, our full site audit showed us that her website could load even faster if we swapped the hosting to a new service. The quicker load time improved her SEO even further which meant more leads and increased revenue.
